Interns
Jonny Stockton

From: Duncan, OK but lives in Stillwater, OK
Schooling: Oklahoma State, entering Senior year, Civil Engineering
Plans: Continue is schooling until I get my Master’s in probably Structural Engineering. After that, Seminary will be around the corner, but I will probably get a job and work my way through Seminary. After all this, I want to do youth ministry but still use my engineering degree in some fashion. This might mean taking it overseas or something but not sure. Only God knows, and that is just fine with me!
Hobbies: I love music, being outside, playing sports (in or out), video games, and a whole lot more crazy random things probably! Just ask if you have any more questions!
Looking forward to: I am looking forward to the summer. I cannot choose just one single youth function. I love being around the youth and investing in yall’s lives. However, I love the fact that I will be going to Atlanta on a mission trip. I have never been there and am excited to go! Super Summer is also a function that I love and cannot wait to get to go to! But that is just two parts of this summer that I am going to love! Getting to speak at the Island is really enjoyable for me too! I just love ministry!
Uniqueness: I used to be able to tape an egg to my head and kick it. Can’t do that anymore so I will tell ya something else. Ummm……I love to play ultimate cow-tongue football! It is almost exactly like ultimate frisbee but with one crazy difference: You play with an actual cow-tongue! So, let me know if you would want to play, and we can try to get a game together!
Scripture: I cannot really just choose one verse because life is dynamic; thus, we need verses that can be used to help in this dynamic life. So, here a few that I love and have impacted my life. Matthew 6:33, John 8:31-32, Isaiah 48:9-11, Psalm 27:1, Psalm 37:8, Proverbs 28:1, James 4:17 and 4:7.
Advice: One piece of advice that I would give to the youth would be live life to the fullest! You have four short years of that stage in life where you are determining what type of person you want to become but still getting to do the things of your younger years. So, be smart and wise at how you live. Each decision has its own consequences. These consequences can be positive or negative so decide wisely. Do not waste all the opportunity that is presented to you in high school. You see people on a daily basis that you will most likely never see again after you graduate. Thus, make the most of those friendships! Are you being a light? (Matt. 5:16). Oh and be yourself! I remember when I was in high school and everyone tried to fit in by doing the “cool” thing. My response to that is chillax! Live your life the way you want to! Don’t let someone influence you to do something that you do not want to do! Now, I am not saying do whatever you want but live a life that glorifies Him in everything you do! (1 Cor. 10:31). And, let your personality show. Be who you are in Christ and do not let anyone hinder that walk you have with Him!
Meagen Harrel

I was born and raised in Elk City and currently living in Norman and attending the University of Oklahoma. I am Junior and studying pre-pharmacy; my future plans is continue in this career choice, God willing, and finish school. Hopefully after school I would like to use my career path to give back, such as through medical missions.
The things I enjoy doing the most would be spending time with my family, reading a good book, going to the lake, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.
I am so excited to be the intern for all of you this summer it is going to be a blast! I have been praying in advance that God will do great things and touch many hearts within our ministry. The thing I think I could be most excited for is to watch each and everyone take some challenges, step up as leaders, watching God move, and continue growing as one for the one.
β I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.β
John 16:33
βThe Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.β Exodus 14:14
A word of advice to all of you would be start your foundation now. God has great plans for you and you need only to follow him. Dig into the word and seek him in everything. Jeremiah 29:13 All of you are able to step up and be leaders and live your life the way God has called you to live. Who will step up? 1 Timothy 4:12
